Salary: £40K-60K + £40K-60K Commission

Location: Reading or Remote

Start date: ASAP

Our client, an expert in archiving and digital preservation of valuable data is seeking a self-motivated Sales Development Representative to join their growing sales team. The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role and ideally have a background of selling into Pharmaceutical and Life Science organisations, or a thorough understanding of that market.

Responsibilities

  • Represent our company’s products and services, starting with a comprehensive understanding and leading to consumer research to identify how our solutions meet needs
  • Generate leads and build relationships by nurturing warm prospects and finding new potential sales outlets
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects and engage sales executives for next steps
  • Identify best practices to refine the company’s lead generation playbook
  • Utilise SalesForce, cold calling, and email to generate new sales opportunities
  • Identify prospect’s needs and suggest appropriate products/services
  • Build long-term trusting relationships with prospects to qualify leads as sales opportunities
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market

Skills / Experience

  • Demonstrable experience of over-achieving against sales targets
  • Tenacity and drive to seek new business opportunities
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs
  • An excellent telephone manner for making initial contact and for ongoing communication with customers and business associates
  • Interpersonal skills for building and developing relationships with clients
  • Written and verbal communication skills – needed for communicating with a range of people, both internally and externally, as well as presentation skills
  • Demonstrable experience of social selling using tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator
  • Team working skills and a collaborative approach to work
  • The ability to multitask and prioritise your workload
  • Negotiating skills

Essential

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Driven and ambitious
  • Demonstrable success in a sales role
  • Understanding of SaaS 
  • Ability to influence and negotiate at C-Level

Desirable

  • Experience selling Saas and Cloud Solutions
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical/life science industries highly beneficial
